All Door Shop Direct external composite doors are manufactured to your exact specifications. You may imagine that doors tend to come in standard sizes, but this is rarely the case so it is vital that we have the correct measurements for your new door.

In order to keep the cost of your new door to a minimum, you may wish to supply us with the measurements yourself. Please take the time to read the Measuring Guide below and double-check your measurements as unfortunately we will not be able to offer you a refund if the measurements you supply prove to be incorrect.

If you are not confident in taking the required measurements yourself, we would strongly recommend our professional, guaranteed measuring service. With this service, one of our highly experienced installers will contact you to arrange a suitable time to visit your premises and take the required measurements. Should these measurements prove to be incorrect (a highly unlikely event – to date this has never occurred), we will provide you with the choice of a replacement door, or full refund.

How to Measure

1. Measure the height & width of your door opening from outside (i.e. the opening in the brickwork, not the frame itself) in at least 3 different places (i.e. top, middle and bottom for height / left, middle and right for width).

2. Deduct 10mm from the smallest height measurement – This is your Height measurement.

3. Deduct 10mm from the smallest width measurement – This is your Width measurement.

Each door style has a minimum and maximum sizing requirement – Please see individual door specifications for details.
